Kevin Haas - District VII

Board of Directors

Haas represents pulse growers in the eastern region of North Dakota.  He was elected to the NPGA Board of Directors in 2018. Haas also served for District V on the North Dakota Dry Pea and Lentil Council from 2008-2017. He served the council as vice-chair from 2009 – 2016 and as the council chair from 2016 – 2017.  He has also served as the USA Dry Pea and Lentil Council Domestic Marketing Representative from 2009 – 2017. 
 
Haas is a 3rd generation farmer and farms outside of Jamestown on their family farm. Haas has been planting pulses since the early 1990’s. Haas currently grows peas, lentils, edible beans, corn, soybeans, wheat, barley and oats. Haas has been a strong advocate for the pulse industry for many years.  In 2004, he broke ground to start construction of a processing plant specifically for pulse crops in Jamestown, ND.  In 2005 Legume Matrix shipped their first rail cars of peas.  Today Leagume Matrix ships all around the globe.
 
In Haas’s free time he likes taking small trips with his 4 children, Abby, Natasha, Karson, and  Kaden.
